Oslo City Walk - 2hrs Guided Tour

Oslo City Walk is a two‑hour guided stroll through some of the city’s most iconic areas, now beginning with the striking Munch Museum.

The walk starts at the Munch Museum, a shimmering vertical landmark on the waterfront dedicated to Norway’s most famous artist. Here, guests get a sense of Oslo’s newest cultural district and its bold architectural ambitions.

From there, the route continues to the Opera House, where modern fjord‑side architecture sets the scene. You then walk into Kvadraturen, Oslo’s historic 1600s district filled with old merchant houses and narrow Renaissance streets. The tour moves on toward Aker Brygge, a lively waterfront area with cafés, art, and beautiful views over the Oslofjord.

The walk ends at Oslo City Hall, home of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony and rich in Norwegian history and symbolism. It’s an easy, flat walk that connects Oslo’s past and present through engaging stories and clear, accessible explanations.

Aker Brygge to Bygdøy Museums & Vigeland Sculpture Park – 3‑Hour Signature Tour

A relaxed, scenic 3‑hour experience combining waterfront life, polar history, and one of Oslo’s most beautiful parks.

This three‑hour tour takes you from Oslo’s lively waterfront to two of Norway’s most iconic cultural sites. You begin at Aker Brygge, a modern harbor district built on old shipyards, full of fjord views, cafés, and maritime atmosphere. From here, you continue by boat or bus to the museum peninsula at Bygdøy, where you can choose between the Fram Museum or the Kon‑Tiki Museum — both offering world‑famous stories of exploration and adventure. The tour ends in Vigeland Park, the world’s largest sculpture park made by a single artist, where you explore its bridges, fountains, and the Monolith surrounded by peaceful green spaces.

Guests simply tell me what they are interested in seeing — modern architecture, historic streets, waterfront areas, iconic landmarks, hidden corners of the city, or a mix of everything — and I create a route that fits their wishes perfectly.

Whether they want culture, history, views, photography spots, calm areas, or lively neighborhoods, the tour is shaped entirely around their preferences.

A flexible 2–3 hour sightseeing experience designed to match each guest’s interests, pace, and curiosity.

With deep knowledge and engaging explanations, Monika guided us past the city’s main sights. Along the way, we gained fascinating background insights — from the symbolism and meaning of Norse mythology to the story of the city’s development.

Monika was the guide for our group of about 25 people from IMA and took us on a walk along Akerselva. We made several interesting stops, learning about the culture, but mainly the history, of the neighbourhood. Many of the participants remarked on how interesting the tour was, and even though they had lived in Oslo for many years, they learned a lot and really appreciated the experience. Monika was a great guide who shared interesting stories and insights throughout the 90-minute walk.

We were a small group of six and spent a wonderful, informative morning in Oslo with Monika this May. During our extended city walk, she brought the city to life with historical insights and captivating stories from Norway’s past. Because she has lived in Norway for many years, she also shared authentic glimpses into everyday life and local traditions.

The tour was relaxed, varied, and beautifully paced. Both first‑time visitors and those returning to this fascinating city felt fully engaged, well looked after, and genuinely inspired. We can recommend Monika’s tour wholeheartedly.
